Does NHS Tax Credit Exemption cover the cost of a dental crown?

I%26#039;m with Denplan but my partner isn%26#039;t, her dentist said she needs a replacement crown. On Denplan I had to pay the lab costs myself but I%26#039;m not sure how it works with the NHS Tax Credit Exemption Certificate.

Does NHS Tax Credit Exemption cover the cost of a dental crown?

Your partner is exempt from all nhs dental charges as she is named on the nhs tax exemption certificate, bear in mind it only covers NHS treatment any work that she has carried out under a private contract will have to be paid for as it%26#039;s not coverd via the certificate.

IVF and tax credit?

Hi,

Does IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) treatment eligible for tax credit?

Thanks

RP

IVF and tax credit?

You can right this off as a medical cost. Any medical cost that comes out of pocket (after taxes) is tax deductable. HOWEVER, I believe your total out of pocket medical must be 15% (or more) of your adjusted gross income inorder to receive credit. I could be wrong about the percentage, so ask you tax person, or look on the IRS%26#039;s website at www.irs.gov to make sure.

Good Luck!

IVF and tax credit?

Sorry don%26#039;t know but thats a good question because that is a large amount of money, does it matters since it is your choice of getting it,I don%26#039;t think so do an online search of it

IVF and tax credit?

No it is not. I just recently completed my IVF and asked my accountant and she said no.

IVF and tax credit?

I%26#039;m sure it depends on jurisdiction.

In Canada, yes.

Don't I get the child tax credit and EIC if my ex claims our daughter?

Ok, my (ex) husband and I got divorced in 2001 and according to our divorce papers he gets to claim her for even years IF his child support is current at the end of the year. Well, I%26#039;m waiting for documentation from the Prosecutor%26#039;s office (he lost his job at one point, but made additional payments), but I think he may have actually caught it up! I was on TurboTax trying to get an estimate of what my federal tax return would be without claiming her as an exemption and it wouldn%26#039;t give me the child tax credit for her. I could%26#039;ve sworn that the custodial parent (she lives with me all 12 months) still got the child tax credit and EIC even if they weren%26#039;t able to claim them as dependents.

Don%26#039;t I get the child tax credit and EIC if my ex claims our daughter?

You are correct. The custodial can receive the EIC even if they cannot claim the child as a dependent.

The IRS FAQ%26#039;s regarding the EIC may help.

Don%26#039;t I get the child tax credit and EIC if my ex claims our daughter?

My understanding is that you cannot claim any of the credits/expenses if you cannot claim the child they are directly related.

Don%26#039;t I get the child tax credit and EIC if my ex claims our daughter?

You are correct, you still get the tax credit and EIC. The EIC form has a place to enter your %26quot;qualifying dependent%26quot; which is independent of who you claim on the front of your 1040. In other words, you lose the deduction for your child, but you can still get the Tax Credit (you must fill out form 8901) and the EIC (SCH EIC).

Don%26#039;t I get the child tax credit and EIC if my ex claims our daughter?

There were changes made to the Uniform Definition of CHILD in 2005. The person claiming the child as a dependent is the one who gets all the credits and deductions. When the law changed, it was no longer possible to split up these credits between the parents. If you aren%26#039;t the one claiming the child as a dependent on your taxes, you don%26#039;t get the child tax credit or EIC this year.

Don%26#039;t I get the child tax credit and EIC if my ex claims our daughter?

No, you don%26#039;t get the child tax credit if the child is not claimed as your dependent for that year. But she probably still qualifies you for the EIC.

Inquireing about tax credit ETIC and irs. gov/individuals?

i was inquiring about a tax credit for low income individuals called EITC

Inquireing about tax credit ETIC and irs. gov/individuals?

OK, what about it?

People with 2 kids filing a joint return can get something for EITC with income up to a little over $38K. That%26#039;s the highest limit - for one or no kids, or single or head of household, limits are lower. If you are married and file separate returns, you aren%26#039;t eligible for EITC at all.

The amount of the credit can be as much as $4536 or as low as a couple dollars - depends on filing status, income and number of kids (up to 2 - you don%26#039;t get extra EITC money for more than 2 kids). The EITC is a refundable credit, which means that if you are eligible, you get it even if you don%26#039;t owe any taxes.

If you have other, specific questions, post again and somebody will answer.

Is child tax credit the same as income support?

i claim income support for myself n 3 kids but is child tax credit incuded in income support or is that something else? ive just been lookin through the net about benefits and found this? is it something extra i should be getting?as it mentions something about disabled children and i do have a disabled child?

Is child tax credit the same as income support?

As far as I was aware you get child tax credit you are working or at least paying tax, which Im not sure you do if you are getting income support?

however if you go to the link below it has way more information about and you can fill in an online form that will tell you if you are entitled (the 2nd link)

besides it never hurts to apply!

Is child tax credit the same as income support?

income support stops or reduces when the child turnes 16, but child tax credit doesnt.

Is child tax credit the same as income support?

I think that Child Tax Credit is for people who work, not for those on DSS.

Is child tax credit the same as income support?

If you are working and you have children it should be Tax credits you get. If you are not working you will get income support

Is child tax credit the same as income support?

if you work more than 16 hrs a week you can apply for tax credits if you don%26#039;t work you get income support

Is child tax credit the same as income support?

Income support can be claimed whether you have children or not, the amount increases with the number of people you support, it is for people who have a good reason they are not available for work. Child tax credit is for those in work. As you are caring for a disabled child you are probably entitled to a carers allowance on top. Income support pays for prescription charges, and towards dentists(NHS) and opticians( NHS). You can also claim for transport costs to and from hospital.

Is child tax credit the same as income support?

i would take it to your local H %26amp; R Block, and have them do my taxes, they can find things and get a better refund for you.

its worth the fee, believe me.

Is child tax credit the same as income support?

Hi I take it your a Lone Parent %26amp; receive Income Support fr your slf %26amp; children plus Child Benefit. If so your receiving everything your entitled to.

Should you apply for Child Tax Credits your Income Support would be reduced to just your personal allowance which at the moment is 鎷?7.45.

My advice is don%26#039;t apply eventually your claim will be migrated over to child tax credits, which means they will pay for your children instead of Income Support paying.

If you have a disabled child %26amp; recieve DLA Income Support will be paying you a premium already.

Get in touch with your local Jobcentre if you have any queries

he earned income credit (EITC) is a tax credit for certain people who work and have earned income in tax year 2006 under $38,348. A tax credit usually means more money in your pocket. It reduces the amount of tax you owe. The EITC may also give you a refund.

How do tax credit apartments know if you're being truthful about your income?

When applying for a tax credit apartment, how does the complex know if someone is telling the truth on how much they make. For instance, you cannot make over a certain amount, with a certain number of people living with you. How can they verify the other tenants income?

How do tax credit apartments know if you%26#039;re being truthful about your income?

You sign a release and they check with the employer.

How do tax credit apartments know if you%26#039;re being truthful about your income?

They require multiple forms of income verification, ie paycheck stubs, last year%26#039;s W2, etc. Of course, many people do not report all their income, work under the table, etc., but the government has many ways of verifying (income estimates for similar positions - even waiters/waitresses, individual business owners, etc.).
